Congratulations to Prophix’ Anita McArter: Named to Top 50 Women Leaders in SaaS

Prophix is a huge believer in the value of diversity, both in our leadership ranks and in the technology industry. That’s why I’m thrilled to announce our very own Anita McArter, Vice President of Channels and Alliances, has been named to The Top 50 Women Leaders in SaaS of 2019 in recognition of her exceptional leadership capabilities and business achievements. The Top 50 Women Leaders in SaaS award is presented annually by The Software Report, which provides industry executives, professionals and investors with important news and information on the software industry. The 2019 women leader awardees were selected based on a close evaluation of the 3,500 nomination submissions received. This year, the Software Report paid particular attention to substantive comments about each nominee’s character and accomplishments, as well as the degree to which she positively impacted her organization. Given these types of requirements, we at Prophix are not surprised Anita was selected to be part of this prestigious list. In the day-to-day Anita is tasked with managing and directing the go-to-market strategy for Prophix’ Partner Network, but this is just one of her many accomplishments within our company. She first joined Prophix in 2009 as Regional Sales Manager and quickly rose through the Prophix ranks in increasingly senior positions, including Director of Microsoft Alliances and Director of Channels and Alliances before assuming her current role within our organization. Before joining Prophix, Anita held senior sales positions at Oracle and Toronto Hydro Telecom. Let me share with you a few excerpts from Anita’s submission, which speak to the quality of Anita’s character and her many contributions to Prophix’ growth: “She leads and inspires with integrity.” “Like a Chess Master, Anita sees the next nine moves on the board way before the rest of us.” “Anita’s analytical brain allows her to balance judgment and compassion with ease.” “Anita always puts the company first and has taught and trained many of our brightest emerging leaders.” “Her humble attitude complements her competitive spirit, which makes her a strong leader for driving the growth of our Partner Program.” Our team learned of this award around the same time as our Q4 town hall where our company’s Female Empowerment @ Prophix Relaunch was highlighted. Started in our offices in 2018, this initiative involves a steering committee that oversees meetings, activities, and events focused on ensuring all employees have a safe place to openly express their thoughts. This includes working with HR and the Executive Team to implement initiatives to improve work-life balance, benefits, and perks for women. The goal of Female Empowerment’s relaunch is very much in line with the aspirations of the TSR Award – to create an environment where women can thrive, inspire all employees and executives to get involved and to be more mindful of invisible barriers and biases negatively impacting female empowerment.
