Think of ad-hoc analysis like a fully furnished house. Your data views are that house’s windows. By installing windows in a different part of the house, you can see the furnishings from another point of view, without changing the furnishings or even moving the furniture there. 

 

With ad-hoc analysis, your data is already there. Prophix One allows you to build a data view to see it from whatever point of view (e.g., detailed, summarised, by department) works best without worrying about how you’ll get that data.
