Who is Jamul Indian Village Development Corporation?
Jamul Indian Village of California is one of 12 federally recognized tribes that make up the Kumeyaay Nation of Southern California. Jamul Indian Village Development Corporation (JIVDC) was established to pursue economic development ventures on behalf of the Tribe, to provide revenue to the Tribal government and to improve the general welfare of the members.
The opening of Jamul Casino in 2016 established more than 1,200 permanent jobs. Since that time, the JIVDC has continually invested in the Casino, helping to elevate its offerings.
Business challenges
JIVDC’s budgeting process was time-consuming and relied on manual updates to Excel spreadsheets.
