The new Prophix Mobile application is a key feature of the new release,
offering a more dynamic user experience and increased efficiencies across organizations.
Prophix Software Inc., a leading developer of corporate performance management (CPM) software, today announced the launch of its latest software release, Prophix 11. This latest offering introduces mobile access from the iPad and a brand new interface – all designed with the end user in mind.
“One of the primary drivers for us is enhancing the user experience,” said Geoff Ng, Prophix’s Vice President of Product Planning. “If users can intuitively maneuver through the application, the benefits of using the software increase substantially.”
Today’s software release unveils a new look and feel with tile-based screens that replicate the graphic and intuitive feel of Microsoft Windows 8. End users can customize their desktop view to best suit their day to day tasks, allowing for easier access to reports, functions, or data views.
“Prophix 11 serves the changing needs of organizations during a very dynamic time,” added Paul Barber, CEO of Prophix. “Not only does our newest release address the needs of most organizations today, they are flexible enough to grow with them rapidly in preparation for the future.”
Along with a new user interface, Prophix 11 includes the ability to view live data from anywhere through the Prophix Mobile application – now available in the Apple iTunes App Store. With Prophix Mobile, users can now analyze and respond to financial information and performance metrics and share reports securely.
“The ability to work dynamically and in real-time, whether it be across departments or across continents, requires a level of social collaboration that is only available through product innovations like Prophix Mobile,” explains Ng. “Today the ability to work online or offline is limited with most organizations. It is only a matter of time before companies will have to broaden their policies to include an employee’s personal device. Our mobile strategy is developed with this view of the future in mind.”
Prophix 11 also allows for greater accountability, ownership and data control with enhancements to its workflow capabilities. Users are able to create groups, use drag and drop functionality to reorder tasks, and view project updates in graphical form.
“We debuted much of the new functionality to our customers in May during our User Conference,” said Ng. “The positive response was overwhelming. I am looking forward to seeing some of the product’s functionality put to use with customers. It is an exciting time for us.“
