PROPHIX Enterprise Architecture

PROPHIX Enterprise can be deployed in a number of scenarios, File-Server, Client-Server, Web Server.  These deployment scenarios are driven by  your specific organizational requirements. 

File-Server Solution

In the file-server (or LAN) model, all data that is required by users for budgeting and financial analysis is warehoused on a central computer (file-server) and usually accessed over a Local Area Network (LAN). PROPHIX must be installed on each user's PC.

Client-Server Solution

A client-server installation of PROPHIX permits companies to be more flexible in their deployment of this powerful analytical application. The client-server version of PROPHIX is required for web-native Internet access to PROPHIX.

Web Server

An alternative to web-native access is to use a terminal emulator such as Citrix or Microsoft Terminal Services. In this case the regular PROPHIX software is installed on a server used by the terminal emulator. Either the file-server or the client-server version of PROPHIX can be used, and there is no need for installation of any extra PROPHIX software. Users can access all PROPHIX functionality.
