PROPHIX Software Teams Up With Masons4Mitts to Bring Children the Gift of Baseball
San Francisco, CA - August 23, 2010 - This summer, 100 underprivileged children participating in the San Francisco Junior Giants organization will finally have their own baseball glove thanks to a charitable donation by PROPHIX Software to Masons4Mitts.
The Masons4Mitts program aims to bring the gift of baseball to under privileged children in the Bay Area by donating 2,000 baseball gloves to the Junior Giants, a program that welcomes children from all backgrounds and encourages them to live healthy and productive lives by getting outside and playing baseball.
"Because 70 percent of the Junior Giants children don't have their own baseball glove, our goal is to provide 2,000 mitts to them this year," says Doug Ismail, Vice President of the California Masonic Foundation. "Thanks to generous gifts from corporations like PROPHIX, we are able to help bring America's national pastime to 2,000 children who wouldn't otherwise have the chance to participate in organized baseball."
"This is a great program that aligns perfectly with PROPHIX's core values," says Bally Boodram, VP of Marketing for PROPHIX Software. "When Doug approached us about this initiative, we were more than happy to help. Every child deserves to participate in America's national pastime."
On Tuesday, August 24th, a cheque presentation will take place at home plate before the San Francisco Giants game at AT&T Park. For more information on the Masons4Mitts program, visit http://www.masons4mitts.org
