SEOS - SEOS has realized some great benefits by using PROPHIX in the finance department and including other managers in the budgeting and forecasting process. Because the reporting aspects of PROPHIX are quick and easys to use, SEOS now uses PROPHIX's reporting features to verify accounts from their Visibility ERP system. In the future, SEOS is planning on creating other models to analyze inventory - empowering more employees, and adding more contributors to making SEOS more profitable.
ABC Trucking - America's Body Company Inc (ABC) is one of the largest vertically integrated manufacturers, upfitters and distributors of truck bodies and equipment in the United States. Through its own value added manufacturing
process, ABC adds various parts and components to a truck or van chassis from one of the major manufacturers such as Ford or GM to produce cargo vans, dump trucks, cranes and other equipment.
Orasure - Orasure Technologies, Inc. is a medical diagnostics company whose growing diagnostic capabilities are used by insurance companies, public health agencies, clinical laboratories, physicians' offices, workplace sites, and criminal justice and drug rehabilitation agencies.
SonoSite - Experiencing a 36.6% sales growth rate, SonoSite, Inc., an ultrasound manufacturer based in Bothwell, WA, encountered difficulties in their budgeting process. Their budgeting process involved Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables,
which were e-mailed back and forth throughout the company. It was challenging to maintain control and time-consuming to consolidate international budgets with the total company budget. SonoSite chose PROPHIX to bring control back into their process, and they immediately realized benefits. With PROPHIX, SonoSite saves $1850 each time a planning model is created, and the process of converting foreign currencies to US dollars is simple. Blue Star Gas - Blue Star Gas has been in the propane industry since 1938, serving Northern California and Oregon. With continuous company growth, Blue Star Gas started to realize the limitations of using Excel for financial and data analyses. Because
their system allowed only one person at a time to enter data, one of their main objectives was to find a solution that was more accessible. In addition, the system should be simple, yet sophisticated enough to handle advanced functions. After several months of exploring options, Blue Star Gas chose PROPHIX. LWCC (Louisiana Workers' Compensation Corporation) - LWCC, Louisiana's largest workers' compensation carrier, went through extensive training and initiatives for creating a brand and were ready to replace their inefficient Excel
spreadsheet-based budgeting system. They wanted a product that would provide ownership, preserve data integrity and offer extensive forecasting capabilities. LWCC decided to implement PROPHIX as their budget management software solution. As a result, their budgeting process was reduced by two and a half months, which
allowed them to spend more time on other projects. Overall, LWCC realized better ease of use, improved connectivity, and lower stress levels in upper management. Because of PROPHIX, LWCC is currently saving over $1 million in operational improvements.
ENVIRON - Budgeting systems for consulting companies need to be flexible because consultants are the cost centers. Environ, a technical consulting company with offices worldwide, was seeking such a system to replace their current
spreadsheet budgeting system. They found that PROPHIX offered that flexibility to tailor the software for a professional services-based company and also allowed the consolidation of entries from a large number of users. State National Bank - State National Bank Inc. has been in the banking and financial industry since 1996. The company experienced growth to 38 branches. However, as the company grew, their monthly workload became too much to handle by their spreadsheet-based budgeting system. They reached the end of the spreadsheet's capabilities. FrameSaver - Framesaver, a leader in the wood products industry, realized that they needed an innovative budgeting software package - innovative enough to handle complexity and detail. The software also needed to be user friendly, since some employees had very little computer experience. After researching several companies and possible software solutions, Framesaver implemented PROPHIX. The company realized huge benefits. Great Lakes Energy Partners - Great Lakes Energy Partners is an oil and natural gas producer in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York. Because of rapid company growth and complex budgeting, which included planning for four subsidiary companies, Great Lakes seriously needed to abandon spreadsheets. They needed to implement an inexpensive, flexible budgeting software. After a 4-year period of researching budgeting packages, Great Lakes implemented PROPHIX and immediately reaped quantitative and qualitative benefits. The annual budget preparation time was reduced by two-thirds, and people trusted the system a lot more, expanding everyone's overall confidence in the budgeting process.
Thrifty Car Rental - The budget planning for Thrifty Car Rental, a car rental company that is significantly present in the airport and local car rental markets, includes over 85 departments. With the budgeting process mainly involving spreadsheets and their General Ledger, most of the time was spent on entering historical data and preparing spreadsheets rather than planning and analysis. Thrifty Car Rental implemented PROPHIX to eliminate the long hours spent around budget time. Implementation was quick and customer support was impressive. Port of Tacoma - Port of Tacoma, the fifth largest container port in North America, needed to improve the time-consuming process of reconciling their spreadsheet-based budgeting system with their accounting system. In addition to reducing the time required to verify and balance accounts, they also wanted to simplify data entry processes and improve analysis capabilities. Port of Tacoma considered creating an in-house program but decided to implement PROPHIX because of the attractive price and impressive Web demonstration. After implementation, executives were able to spend more time analyzing the data. PROPHIX saved consolidation time, simplified forecasting and reporting tasks, and helped with scenario planning.
Galactic - Galactic Ltd. is in the business of helping companies improve sales and performance. Galactic experienced tremendous growth and needed to implement a system that promised data integrity and confidence in the numbers and also allowed expansion of the budgeting scope to more cost centers. Galactic's CFO investigated several budgeting software systems to replace their use of spreadsheets but found them to be very expensive.
