East Jordan Iron Works - Like many other companies, EJIW used Microsoft Excel for budgeting tasks and began to experience more challenges as the company grew. Coleman Cable, Inc. - From a budgeting and planning perspective, the use of Excel was very time consuming and cumbersome. One of the main challenges for Coleman Cable was making changes to plans and budgets, which hampered the ability to respond quickly to changing business situations. "Making structure changes and last minute updates that affect the consolidated totals was very challenging," says Denise Feece, the Director of Planning and Analysis. "The Excel templates were error-prone and we were likely to experience other typical spreadsheet issues."

Wayne State University - Wayne State University's main challenge was the consolidation of data from separate systems for different entities. WSU needed to implement a budgeting solution to establish a common set of processes and to provide the functions that Excel and Banner did not offer. Warren Del Caribe - Warren Del Caribe consists of different legal entities in multiple countries and currencies, so consolidating data into a single currency was quite complex in Excel. LWCC (Louisiana Workers' Compensation Corporation) - LWCC, Louisiana's largest workers' compensation carrier, went through extensive training and initiatives for creating a brand and were ready to replace their inefficient Excel spreadsheet-based budgeting system.
