After a very successful 2007 User Conference in Nashville, we gathered feedback and went to work looking for a suitable location for the 2008 User Conference. PROPHIX is pleased to announce the 2008 location - Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego, California!

Training

These 3-hour training sessions will give you the chance to advance your PROPHIX knowledge with small group, hands-on instruction, delivered by a Senior PROPHIX Consultant.

• Training Session 3 - PROPHIX Personnel Planning (P3)
• Training Session 4 - PROPHIX Enterprise Fundamentals

1) PROPHIX for SQL Server Fundamentals

PROPHIX for SQL Server has come a long way since last year's conference! This session will give attendees hands-on practice with this versatile and sophisticated product. Building cubes, performing analysis, creating templates and setting up workflow will all be covered; highlighting similarities and differences to PROPHIX Enterprise along the way. If you are a new user to PROPHIX for SQL Server or if you want to get a feel for what it would be like to upgrade from Enterprise, please don't miss this session.

2) Improving Efficiency and Accuracy using Process Manager

So much of the time we spend on reporting, budgeting and forecasting is wasted on re-entering data and checking it against its source, leaving little time for the important stuff - analysis. Learn how to leverage Process Manager to do all the dirty work for you by pre-populating budgets and forecasts, preparing what-if scenarios, performing allocations and eliminations... the list goes on and on. In this session, attendees will use Process Manager to solve actual business cases brining relevance and correlation to your existing business scenarios.

3) PROPHIX Personnel Planning (P3)

For most companies, planning for personnel costs is both the largest part of the budget and the most difficult to estimate accurately. Incorporating the max out of certain Payroll Taxes, planning for employee turnover and handling different states or bonus thresholds can be difficult and tedious. P3 can automate this process offering detailed budgets down to the employee level for improved variance analysis over the course of the budget year. In addition, with a little creativity, P3 can be used for other resource planning. In this session, there will be hands-on practice using P3 and a chance to learn about some unconventional uses for P3 that have been pioneered by Senior Consultants over the years.

4) PROPHIX Enterprise Fundamentals

Are you a new user of PROPHIX? Do you just want a refresher of the basics? Or did you take the Administrator Course so long ago that you are curious how the basics work in Version 7? This class will give you hands-on training in the basic administrative functions of PROPHIX Enterprise and answer any questions you may have about improving or optimizing your model. Cube design, data entry and importing, reporting and scorecard/dashboard set up will be covered.

5) Advanced Reporting

Want to improve your reporting capabilities? Financial reporting, budget reporting, management style reporting, variance analysis and ad-hoc reports can all be made easy in PROPHIX. Incorporate charts and other visual reporting to maximize the impact for senior executives. Streamline monthly variance to budget reporting for department managers to improve accountability.
