Customer Support Representative
PROPHIX is currently looking for a dynamic individual who has an excellent technical background and is looking to transition into a fast paced, customer oriented role. The position will report to the Director of Customer Management, but will work extensively with various internal and external clients.
We are looking for an individual who will proactively seek solutions for our clients' various technical issues. As there is a large interface with our clients, the position requires an individual who is comfortable and confident when working remotely with our customer base. The ideal candidate has an excellent technical background and wants to grow into a position that also demands more customer interaction.
Major Responsibilities/Duties
1. Customer support
- a. Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal and external customers
- b. Work independently and proactively to manage technical issues and to assure the highest levels of customer satisfaction
- c. Managing issue escalation and resource scheduling
- d. Respond to inquiries pertaining to technical problems related to: operating systems, networks, security, relational databases, OLAP databases
2. Installation consultations with new customers
- a. Work with customers to help them install PROPHIX products
- b. Respond to and resolve any technical issues related to the installation of all PROPHIX products
Requirements
At least 2 years relevant work experience
Technical Requirements
- a. Must have experience working with and strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Windows Server
- b. Knowledge of OLAP technology and Microsoft Analysis Services would be ideal
- c. Working knowledge of accounting or financial application is a plus
Interpersonal Skills
- a. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory
- b. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- c. Must be able to work independently and with other members of a team
Business Development Representative
As a member of the PROPHIX Sales and Marketing team, your mandate will be to support the Sales team by generating leads, updating the CRM database, providing reports on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and making follow up calls to existing customers.
Responsibilities
- Qualify Inbound website traffic
- Communicate to prospects that show an interest in PROPHIX about products and services
- Move prospects through the marketing process
- Escalate qualified leads to the Sales Team
- Enter or update prospect information into the CRM system
- Carry out outbound calls that generate leads
- Prospect, generate, and qualify leads through outbound telephone calls and emails for various call lists.
- Present value proposition clearly and succinctly
- Provide weekly, monthly callout results
- Report on the success of marketing campaigns, and the velocity of prospects through the sales cycle.
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Strong Communications & Presentation Skills: Confidence and ability to interface professionally with a wide spectrum of customers including C level executives. Ability to structure verbal and written communications to strongly influence stakeholders in the purchasing process.
- Completion of post-secondary Diploma or Degree
- Possess a minimum of two (2) years proven success in direct business-to-business sales, business-to-business cold calling, and phone based business-to-business prospecting

Consultant
PROPHIX is currently looking for self-motivated individuals to join the Professional Services team located in Mississauga, Ontario. As a Consultant, you will draw upon your strong communication, analytical, technical and project management skills to interact directly with our client's senior management to design and deploy our software application solution. You will serve as a key point of contact for client engagements, and play a pivotal role in the success of implementations. The role will expose you to a wide variety of new technologies and allow you to gain notable multi-industry business experience with the potential for growth and advancement. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for recent graduates and professionals with a few years of work experience. This position reports to the Manager, Consulting Services.
Major Responsibilities:
Application Implementations
- Involved in multiple projects of varying degrees of length
- Complete application deliverables utilizing PROPHIX EDGE methodology
- Evaluate existing client processes and business models
- Design, build, and test business models and reports
- Lead end-user training sessions in an interactive classroom environment
- Work independently and proactively to ensure quality of project deliverables
- Provide ongoing design and consultative support
- Document completed project deliverables
- Communicate project status regularly to client and assigned project manager
- Escalate unresolved client issues to appropriate departments and senior management
- Forge strong relationships during implementations leading to reference-able client
Business and Professional Development
- Participate in project scoping sessions, RFP responses, and help develop consulting estimates
- Identify new services opportunities and work with sales team to close business
- Review client product feature requests with product management and development
- Contribute to knowledge management activities including writing whitepapers, enhancing training collateral, and delivering internal presentations
- Work collaboratively with other departments and take part in strategic projects to advance corporate goals
- Proactively learn new applications, technologies, and methods to enhance personal skills
Requirements:
- Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent discipline
- 2 years experience in corporate financial planning and reporting
- Superior command of English language both verbal and written
- Advanced Excel modeling skills, including complex formulas and macros
- Experience in financial consolidation, budgeting, planning, and reporting
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with financial application and enterprise planning software desired
- Highly organized, details oriented, and possess excellent time management skills
- Must possess a strong aptitude to learning new technologies
- Must be comfortable working in a project environment interacting with senior personnel including CFOs, VPs, and Controllers
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to derive creative and effective business solutions
This position requires extensive travel throughout North America. Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must be able to travel to the United States. Candidates must also possess valid Canadian or international driver's license.
