Pre-Sales Engineer
The Pre-Sales Engineer must understand business needs of potential and existing customers and demonstrate PROPHIX's solution via webinars, presentations, product demo, Proof of Concepts (POC), or other supporting activities. The proposed solution must be translated into material(s) that can be used to profile PROPHIX's market leading software and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn PROPHIX products and/or product features prior to general availability.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations, including the development and implementation of proof of concepts, webinars and prototypes.
- Provides answers to inquiries concerning PROPHIX's software and applications and proposes solutions to perspective customers.
- Create, maintain and enhance product demonstration and webinar content.
- Work with colleagues to convey demonstration system requirements.
- Prepares and delivers additional presentations for Trade shows, seminars, or other marketing events.
- Assists the Sales with RFP/requirements documents.
- Create and own RFP/RFI data warehouse.
- Collect and disseminate competitor information.
- Contribute product feature/benefit content to various marketing projects such as web site updates, marketing materials, product literature or other sales support pieces.
- Communicates prospect business requirements to Sales and Professional Services teams after completion of sale to ensure a smooth transition from presales to implementation stages.
Skills
- Explain product concepts and business use to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to converse with different levels of an organization including C-level.
- Understand end-user business cases and propose solutions as they relate to PROPHIX's software and services.
- Highly articulate and able to deliver clear presentations and product demonstrations

Requirements
- Experience in Financial consolidation, budgeting and planning, forecasting and reporting an asset
- Must possess a strong aptitude to learning new technologies
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and manage time accordingly in a fast paced work environment
- Superior written, verbal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to derive creative and effective business solutions
This position reports to the VP of Marketing, and will work very closely with Regional Managers, VP Sales, and the Director of Channel Partners. Some travel throughout North America for trade show, seminar or channel partner support will be required. Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must be able to travel to the United States.
Consultant
PROPHIX is currently looking for self-motivated individuals to join the Professional Services team located in Mississauga, Ontario. As a Consultant, you will draw upon your strong communication, analytical, technical and project management skills to interact directly with our client's senior management to design and deploy our software application solution. You will serve as a key point of contact for client engagements, and play a pivotal role in the success of implementations. The role will expose you to a wide variety of new technologies and allow you to gain notable multi-industry business experience with the potential for growth and advancement. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for recent graduates and professionals with a few years of work experience. This position reports to the Manager, Consulting Services.
Major Responsibilities:
Application Implementations
- Involved in multiple projects of varying degrees of length
- Complete application deliverables utilizing PROPHIX EDGE methodology
- Evaluate existing client processes and business models
- Design, build, and test business models and reports
- Lead end-user training sessions in an interactive classroom environment
- Work independently and proactively to ensure quality of project deliverables
- Provide ongoing design and consultative support
- Document completed project deliverables
- Communicate project status regularly to client and assigned project manager
- Escalate unresolved client issues to appropriate departments and senior management
- Forge strong relationships during implementations leading to reference-able client
Business and Professional Development
- Participate in project scoping sessions, RFP responses, and help develop consulting estimates
- Identify new services opportunities and work with sales team to close business
- Review client product feature requests with product management and development
- Contribute to knowledge management activities including writing whitepapers, enhancing training collateral, and delivering internal presentations
- Work collaboratively with other departments and take part in strategic projects to advance corporate goals
- Proactively learn new applications, technologies, and methods to enhance personal skills
Requirements:
- Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent discipline
- 2 years experience in corporate financial planning and reporting
- Superior command of English language both verbal and written
- Advanced Excel modeling skills, including complex formulas and macros
- Experience in financial consolidation, budgeting, planning, and reporting
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Experience with financial application and enterprise planning software desired
- Highly organized, details oriented, and possess excellent time management skills
- Must possess a strong aptitude to learning new technologies
- Must be comfortable working in a project environment interacting with senior personnel including CFOs, VPs, and Controllers
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to derive creative and effective business solutions
This position requires extensive travel throughout North America. Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must be able to travel to the United States. Candidates must also possess valid Canadian or international driver's license.
Partner Marketing Coordinator
The Partner Marketing Coordinator role is responsible for supporting the PROPHIX Partner Marketing team. The Partner Marketing Coordinator works to support the North American and International Partner Marketing team to update, track, and report the results of channel wide marketing programs, as well as to liaise cross functional teams as necessary. This role will involve collaboration with PROPHIX Marketing Managers, Partner Marketing Managers, and third party vendors to ensure measurable deliverables.
Duties/Responsibilities of Position:
Application Implementations
- Create and maintain partner email distribution lists for targeted partner communications
- Create Partner Marketing email content for targeted campaigns
- Provide support with the Marketing Activity Calendar by pulling Dashboards, ROI reporting, MDF spent, and other metrics as required
- Provide content for channel and partner driven events on www.prophix.com to promote awareness and help drive end-user attendance at joint partner events
- Update master documents Partner portal
- Follow up across cross-functional teams to track and ensure that newly created content is partner-ready
- Sales Tools, offers, or promotions are channel friendly (call to action should go back to partner, not PROPHIX)
- Assist with the creation of content for partner e-newsletter
- Pull the North America Leads Report on a monthly basis. Data is to be segmented and tracked by region, industry and ERP and communicated to all internal stakeholders
- Create custom promotional and spiff flyers, postcards, etc while maintaining consistency with PROPHIX branding standards
- Provide administrative support and organize partner meeting schedules for major PROPHIX Partner events, i.e. training, road shows, seminars
Position Specific Competencies/Skills Required:
- Must possess excellent project management skills and communication skills
- Must be able to work in a cross functional team environment
- Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint proficient
- Customer focused and a partner advocate
Experience/Education Required/Desired:
- Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing or a related fieldfield
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a marketing related job in the technology sector (software industry experience preferred)
- High energy, enthusiasm and initiative
