Paul Barber, Chief Executive Officer
Paul Barber is CEO of Prophix Software. He is a graduate of Cambridge University, with an MA in Mathematics, and holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. Paul has worked in the software industry for over thirty years in such areas as Decision Support Systems, Executive Information Systems, Business Intelligence and Performance Management. His functional experience includes sales, marketing, professional services, and general management. In recent years, Paul was the leader in Prophix Software's metamorphosis from being a software distributor to a developer of world class Performance Management solutions.
Ed Karthaus, Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Ed Karthaus brings more than 24 years of experience in the information technology and telecommunications industries. Ed holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and specializes in organizational and sales effectiveness, branding, business and market development. Ed has held senior executive roles with Filogix Limited Partnership and NCR Canada Limited and management roles with Oracle Canada and CTG British Telecom. Additionally, Ed has experience consulting to emerging and mature companies in the technology, telecommunications and services industries. Additionally he has served as a Director of the Independent Mortgage Brokers Association of Ontario (IMBA).
He is active in the community holding a variety of roles for over 28 years with minor hockey, baseball and rugby associations.
Verne Meredith, Chief Strategy Officer
As Chief Strategy Officer, Verne Meredith brings more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience in the IT industry. He holds an MBA degree from Dalhousie University. Some of his career highlights include ten years at Xerox Canada, where he initiated the major account marketing and sales division, and five years at Oracle Corporation as VP of Sales and Marketing Operations. Verne also has ten years of consulting experience, specializing in the development and execution of high-growth strategies for emerging Canadian technology companies.
Bob Walker, Chief Technology Officer
Bob Walker, Chief Technology Officer, obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration and MBA degrees from York University. Bob has gained in-depth experience in the design and implementation of large scale Decision Support Systems and Executive Information Systems. He is an acknowledged expert in the design and development of planning applications utilizing OLAP technology.
Alok Ajmera, Vice President, Professional and Client Services
As Vice President of Professional and Client Services, Alok Ajmera manages consulting and educational services delivery to North American clients and global partners. Prior to taking the helm of Professional and Client Services, Alok has been with Prophix with varying responsibilities: as a consultant with the Professional Services team, as a Regional Sales Manager and most recently as Director of the Customer Management Center. Alok holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering and Management Studies from McMaster University.
Paul Christilaw, Vice President, Marketing
As Vice President of Marketing, Paul Christilaw brings more than 25 years of experience in the computer industry. Paul's team is responsible for all the facets of marketing Prophix Software including; Branding, Marketing Communications, Analyst Relations, Product Management, Lead Generation and Nurturing, and Technical Sales Consulting. Prior to joining Prophix Software, Paul held positions such as: product development, technical sales and marketing at Oracle, Product Marketing and Management at Microsoft, Technical Sales Management at Bid.Com, Software alliance management at Dell Canada and Channel sales at SAP. Paul received his Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Toronto.
Russell Durrant, Vice President, Sales
As Vice President of Sales, Russell oversees the company's sales strategy and execution in the Corporate Performance Management marketplace. Schooled in the Miller Heiman sales performance process with numerous Microsoft Solution Selling certifications, he has over ten years experience in software including roles in development, project management, business analysis and sales. Prior to joining Prophix, Russell was a Vice President with Axentia Solutions Corp.. He holds a Bachelor of Arts & Science and a Masters of Business Administration from McMaster University.
Geoffrey Ng, Vice President, Product Planning
As Vice-President, Product Planning, Geoffrey is responsible for managing the long-term product and technology strategy for Prophix products. Geoffrey began his tenure at Prophix as a management consultant implementing financial analytics systems at over 70 organizations throughout North America including: Mazda, Bridgestone/Firestone, L'Occitane, Nelson Education, Toyota Tsusho and Pfizer. He most recently served as Prophix's Vice-President, Professional Services, where he was deeply involved in the development of implementation best practices on the Microsoft SQL Server and Analysis Services platforms. Geoffrey holds an Honors Bachelor of Business Administration degree from York University’s Schulich School of Business, with a concentration in management information systems and finance.
Ron Massicotte, Director, Education and Training
Managed by Ron Massicotte and focused on customers, partners and internal staff, the Prophix Academy is responsible for all learning-related activities at Prophix. After teaching high school in New Liskeard and Mississauga, Ron worked at Longview Solutions for over 10 years. His experience in the CPM space ranges from large-scale implementations, learning content development and delivery, and managing strategic channel relationships. Ron holds an Honors Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Education from Brock University.
Anita McArter, Director, Channels and Alliances
Recently appointed to this role, Anita is responsible for developing and fostering the Prophix's strategic global relationship with Microsoft's SQL Server, SharePoint and Dynamics divisions. She also manages our go-to-market strategy for Microsoft partners. Anita McArter has more than 20 years of experience in the IT and telecommunications industries. She has a diverse business background with a proven track record in building and transitioning start-ups, forming strategic partnerships, leading sales management, and making complex sales to multi-national Fortune 1000 accounts. Prior to joining Prophix in 2009, Anita spent a number of years in senior roles with Toronto Hydro Telecom, Hyperion and Oracle, achieving recognition as a top performer.
Eric X. V. Nguyen, Director, Solutions Engineers
Eric is a senior employee with Prophix. Eric has spent a good part of his career in consulting and was former director of Education Services, Professional Services and Advanced Applications & Best Practices. In his new role as director of Solutions Engineers, Eric is responsible for the overall management and performance of the Solutions Engineers organization. Eric brings a deep understanding of product and customer requirements from his many years of implementation services. Eric holds a business degree from the Schulich School of Business and is also a Certified Management Accountant.
Aman Singh, Director, Inside Sales
Aman Singh, Director of Inside Sales, manages the Sales Associates and Inside Sales Representatives at Prophix. Aman has over 8 years of Sales and Inside Sales Management experience, the most recent being with Clarity Systems (which was acquired by IBM), where he was the Director of Inside Sales. Aman started his career as a Field Sales Rep in the UK and has held a variety of software sales roles since moving to Canada. Aman holds a Bachelors of Commerce and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Hertfordshire, UK.
